The Manticore is an interesting creature. Manticores have the body of a cat, usually a tiger or lion, huge wings and either a scorpion, or rarely a dragon tail. They are also often depicted with a human head and face.

That's one vicious looking beast, probably the last thing you'd want to run in to while you're getting water from the well.
